We are all ready for baby to make his debut! Room is ready (see picture) and mommy is getting uncomfortable! Per the doctor on Tuesday, baby could come anytime. Each day I wake up wondering "is today the day?". Only baby knows!
Luke is doing really well at school. 2nd week is over and he has been happy every day. No crying and no falling asleep on the bus. He seems happy each day he comes home. Today they went on a field trip literally across the street to the hospital cafeteria. It was a lesson in 'staying with the group' and being in a restaurant atmosphere. Too funny!
Luke has been on a number of new supplements lately and for the first time since we started all this biomedical stuff (2 years ago!) I am actually thinking they might be making a difference. He seems a bit more 'aware' and responsive. He reacts to his name more often, is doing better in our private home therapy and also seems to understand receptive language (what we say to him). No expressive language yet (him talking) but he has been communicating more with pointing and signs. Even our awesome nanny Nena said (without me asking!) that she thought he was getting better. She is so protective and positive about Luke. "My baby" she says! We love her.
I'm off to take a nap (at least I have a good excuse!).
